I know of no serious study into this (email me if there is one). It's rather like the marijuana testing earlier this century. For those who don't know, I'm referring to the test that "proved" marijuana caused brain damage by blowing smoke from marijuana cigarettes into the faces of monkeys. Blowing isn't exactly accurate. You see, the monkeys had the smoke piped into their respiratory systems for 5 mins without a break for air. I don't even smoke my plain old Djarums like that. I know no one who smokes marijuana like that. And I would expect brain damage in anyone who inhales nothing but carbon monoxide for 5 minutes (Hell, I'd expect them to be dead.). "Studies" that are quoted on television exposes and in other propaganda by the religious right state that children who view pornography grow up to be child molesting homosexuals who hate all members of the opposite sex. What they probably say in the original studies is: child molesters often have early exposure to pornography. That's more likely a symptom of a disorder than a cause. 2. As for Compuserve, well, I've been boycotting them since I came on the 'Net. In fact, this mail probably violates my boycott. I refuse to even send mail to Compuserve but I thought I'd reply to the list. •••@••.••• ++{Allen Marshall, PO Box 14, Beverly, NJ 08010 USA} +http://www.netaxs.com/people/cratagus/homepage.html @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ ~=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~--~=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~ Posted by Richard K.
