The SFC conference will be held in Snowbird, Utah, not DC.  It is
sponsored by Los Alamos National Laboratory and is held out west every
year, I believe.  They have a website with info re: poster presentations,
workshop proposals, sponsorship, and student scholarships.  Don't know the
URL off-hand, but a search on SFC'96 would probably produce it.
